Welcome to Esther Schultz Nutrition

I'm a California-trained Registered Dietitian based in Jersey, UK. I offer preventative and medical nutrition therapy to help clients heal by harnessing the power of food.

I specialize in gut health, autoimmune conditions, and chronic lifestyle diseases. I also work with people experiencing mystery symptoms like fatigue, hair loss, vertigo, migraines, bloating, anxiety and depression. As the former dietitian for DreamWorks and NBCUniversal, I have worked with a diverse range of clients. I have also been trained on the use of the low FODMAP diet for IBS by Monash University.

My Philosophy

Food is incredibly
powerful – physically,
mentally and emotionally.
It has the power to prevent
or create chronic disease.
It has the power to
contribute to or alleviate
mental illness. It has the power to make us feel guilt, shame, anxiety, happiness, joy and many other intense emotions. The foods we choose to eat have a profound effect on our physical and mental health. Every cell in the human body is created and energized by the nutrients we put in.

And yet, most of us have been taught next to nothing about food and nutrition. Because of this lack of information, working out what we ‘should’ be eating can be confusing, stressful, and fraught with guilt and shame. My goal is to help people eliminate the stress and guilt associated with food choices, so that they can feel confident about what they put in their bodies. I focus on personalized lifestyle and dietary changes because we are all unique. I turn the nutritional science into small, simple, sustainable changes that have a big impact over time.

FAQs

  • I provide personalized nutrition counseling specializing in gut health, autoimmune conditions, and chronic lifestyle diseases. My services include one-to-one consultations, meal planning support, personalised supermarket tours, low FODMAP protocol guidance, and evidence-based dietary advice tailored to your unique needs. I also provide corporate wellness services as well as nutrition classes, workshops and presentations.

  • The initial consultation typically lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes. During this time, we’ll have an in-depth discussion about your medical and dietary history, lifestyle and goals. I will assess your body composition measurements, any previous diagnostic and lab testing, your current medication and supplementation, and overall health status and will work with you to establish goals and create a personalized action plan that takes into account your lifestyle, budget, and taste preferences.

  • Most people need at least one follow up appointment, often more than one. When making dietary changes, it is important to do it slowly to make them sustainable. By having more than one session, we can ensure that you work slowly towards developing new dietary habits that help you meet your goals long term. During follow-up sessions we will answer your questions, review your progress, amend or add to your goals as necessary, and provide you with resources to help you achieve optimal health.

  • Yes, my services are covered by most major private health insurance companies in the UK and I will bill them directly for my clients. However, as not all policies provide for Registered Dietitian coverage, it is always best that you check with your insurance company to confirm your coverage and any potential out-of-pocket costs before your first appointment.

  • Yes, I offer virtual consultations to accommodate your schedule and location. This allows you to receive expert guidance from the comfort of your home, ensuring you get the support you need regardless of where you are.
